About gDeskletsgDesklets is a system for bringing mini programs (desklets), such as weather forecasts, news tickers, system information displays, or music player controls, onto your desktop, where they are sitting there in a symbiotic relationship of eye candy and usefulness. The possibilities are really endless and they are always there to serve you whenever you need them, just one key-press away. The system is not restricted to one desktop environment, but currently works on most of the modern Unix desktops (including GNOME, KDE, Xfce). News
Our development team is proud to announce the first minor release update of the gDesklets 0.36.x series which can be downloaded from http://gdesklets.zencomputer.ca/gDesklets/gDesklets-0.36.1.tar.bz2 Also, you can read our "What's new" page for further information about this new release. April 22nd 2008 Weeks ago we started with the "wiki migration operation" and it has finished. Now it has been hosted in a professional hosting service in Webfaction with support included. We should not have access problems any more, so please go to the wiki and have a look. February 21st 2008 Version 0.36 has been released!
Currently only the source distribution a deb-file for Ubuntu 7.04 and a RPM-file for Mandriva 2008.1 are available. October 4th 2007 Hi folks,
sorry, for the delay...but now, you can check out the new beta of v0.36. Please test it intensively and report as many bugs as possible at http://bugs.launchpad.net. Thanks for your patience, we know that you're waiting for it :-) Cheers, Christian P.S. You can download it from http://students.fim.uni-passau.de/~meyerc/gDesklets/ for now. We're having some server problems at the moment. Checksums: The next beta release of our 0.3x series will be out in a week. Lots of bugs have been fixed and for the first time there's real (Open)Solaris support. We'd like to thank Sun for their help and support.
A final 0.36 should be out 14 days later. The new shell won't be included but we'll add it later, in 0.36.1 or 0.36.2. Have fun, Christian |
